The Mildred Complex(ity) RENT DRESS project is a system in flux not following traditional industry procedures as most retailers. We are practicing intentional slow clothing protocols. Items are limited artist editions, one-of-a-kind, and collaborative projects that may quickly be unavailable each month. We are not following seasonal trends, nor are we following the industry calendar.

RENT DRESS is a whimsical, experimental, fundraising strategy for financing projects and ideas. When you purchase products here, you are directly supporting artists collaborating at Mildred’s Lane and The Mildred Complex(ity).

Each month a handful of garments, house wares, artist editions or other products emerge out of collaboration, and inventiveness with exactly one purpose in mind – to cover the overhead for projects at hand, underlining a cost for cost strategy.

We are a forecasting system, workstyling new and emergent practices for Retail in the 21st Century (R21c.) We welcome your collective support in exchange for one of our unique RENT DRESS wares uploaded each month. Thank you.
