Volume 2
This Volume of DISCIPLINE: Collections Vol.II, is a catalog of object-mediators from the respective collections of Quaker material culture in the Atwater-Kent Museum of Philadelphia, the Chester County Historical Society and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. These objects have been selected based upon an algorithm that utilizes the data gathered from the names of the original families who attended the Daniel Fletcher Home Meeting on Sept 24, 1827, and who later became known as Orthodox, as an outcome of the Orthodox/Hicksite schism of 1827-28 (see Volume I for more details). The Schism was a separation based, in part, on Quaker theological understanding that lasted from 1827-1955.
This text serves as part of a six volume reference guide to mediators. Volume I Algorithm, Volume II Collection, Volume III Multiplication, Volume IV Capture, Volume V Synthesis, Volume VI Activator. While each of these volumes deals with a specific form of agency, these forms of agency are not limited to the work of each volume. Collection, Multiplication, Capture, Synthesis, and Activation happen in all of these volumes and between them. These volumes constitute an integral part of the investigations that comprise THE LOST MEETING. They serve as a reference guide to be consulted in regards to questions of "drafting".
