Department of Interstitchiaries

2010 – present

The Department of Interstitchiaries is a mutable atelier organized and operated by J. Morgan Puett. It has taken on many activations and appearances, from studio to the gallery to other offsite locations. It is now installed at Mildred’s Lane and is sometimes used for lectures, exhibitions, and events. There are facilities for the creative adaptive reuse of all textiles, archives, and the main office space for Mildred’s Lane.

The current Department of Interstitchiaries is a provisional unit that transforms into an exhibition/performance space, retail environment, and studio facility offering endless possibilities for eventful art production. Located inside the quonset hut at Mildred’s Lane.
