An extension of the seminal exhibition at Mass MoCA, curated by Nato Thompson, The Interventionists: Artist in the Social Sphere – this was a powerful summation of an extensive project which began in 2001 inspired from personal experiences and titled, ‘that word which means smuggling across borders incorporated’. This final installation view at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art in Wisconsin, for the exhibition, Return to Function, curated by Jane Simon; also traveled to multiple museums. The double-sided, folding cabinet with drawers houses the archive of the extensive research. A history and future of the three-piece suit which became a thirty six piece suit in the end, coming together in multiple forms – the Multipled Suit – with complex sartorial mechanisms at play through an elaborate set of algorithms derived from transhistories of the suit and the realized corporate life of the project.
